Reiki Healing Levels-Degrees

The study of Reiki consists of Three Degrees or levels, and there are two streams of Reiki classes. In Japan, it was believed healing was the 'by-product', so much more emphasis was placed on cultivating and developing the internal energy – the spiritual energy system of the practitioner. In our Western culture, much more emphasis is placed on learning how to do the mechanics of healing and much of the internal spiritual healing work is bypassed.

In addition to learning the mechanics, this Reiki healing training program combines the spiritual aspects for personal growth and development of the Reiki practioner. An increase in healing abilities is an automatic gift when we walk the path of reaching higher levels of spiritual understanding and consciousness. As healing channels, the path or method requires one to continuously strive to master healing the self so that we are able to receive and transmit greater amounts of the Universal life force energy for others.

Since styles of teaching vary, it is highly recommended that individuals interview at least 3 Reiki Master/Teachers so that they may locate the person/people to best meet their needs. It is also highly recommended that an individual remain with the teacher of choice for at least the First and Second Degree training, if not, throughout the the entire process. Otherwise, additional review classes may be required in order to undergo the Third Degree Master/Teacher training.
